They do the job perfectly. Never slipped (and I never tightened them after the initial) mounting, comfortable grip, don't get in the way of the brake levers, and provide several comfortable alternative grips. The surface is metal, so once the weather gets cold, you don't want to grab these without gloves (or, I suppose, handlebar tape), but that's to be expected. And, at $[...], the price is certainly right. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful This review is from: Titec L-Bend AL Bar End (Sports) I've been riding mountain bikes for years but have gradually moved down to riding trails and even gravel and dirt bike 'paths'. Over the past few months I've felt the need to sit more upright while cranking. I had two options... go get my aging body a dog ugly hybrid or keep the sleek looks of my mtn bike and raise my hand position to make my cranking more comfortable. These L-bends do the job, they allow me to keep the head down position that I'm so accustomed too by using the original handlebar, or they give me the ability to change hand positions, hold on to the L-bends sit more upright and crank when I feel the need too. They were easy to install and provide some great extra hand positions. These are a true "L" which is nicer then the smaller "I" extensions you see at sporting good stores. I will point out the only minor drawback is these are metal, which means they get cold. You'll need to tape them or wear gloves in the winter time. |
