I bought a brand new Honda Shadow in 2008, but the wife and I could not ride the motorcycle for more than 30 minutes or so before having to stop for a while because our backside's were going numb. This seat has completely changed that. We can now take longer, more enjoyable rides. Honda builds great engines, but the seats they put on them are very uncomfortable. If you buy this seat it will completely change how comfortable your bike is.

This seat is wider than the original and provides some lumbar support which helps out on the back quite a lot. Installed in seconds, and I already took a 40-mile trip with it and for once my backside wasn't numb. The passenger seat is much taller and wider than the "gunslinger" style seat of the original - my girlfriend can actually see over my shoulder now instead of having to look around my back, and she says it doesn't hurt her butt like the old stock one did, and she doesn't feel like she is sliding off (I don't have a sissy bar). Honda engines might be great, but their seats are the for the dogs. Forget the stock seat, and upgrade this one. I wish I would have months ago.

I took the stock seat off of my bike and added this seat, what a difference. I was barely able to ride an hour before now I can go for long comfortable rides. Highly recommended.
