4.0 out of 5 stars G-PAK - Not too bad; but could be better, November 20, 2004

I just received the G-PAK today. After loading my gear into the bag; it just does'nt fit all my gear. It will only hold 2 Nintendo style controllers, other brands were too big to fit. Even the 2 Nintendo controllers were very hard to fit into the tight pocket. So if you have more than two controllers you will need a bigger bag. With the console loaded it will not allow you to change games without undoing the velcro strap that holds it in. This strap is also the only way the console is held into place in the bag. It has room for 16 games without the cases. It stores them in a caselogic style holder built into the bag. Not a bad idea for older kids, but younger kids will get the discs loaded with fingerprints and scratches taking the games in and out of this holder. The flap on bottom that you use to access the hookups is secured by velcro, which will just wear out over time. Overall, it's not a bad bag. But it could have been designed better. I think a bag or case that is bigger with a... Read more

Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Gamecube G-Pak Organizer Travel Case Black (Video Game)
I just got this and I am very impressed at this case. Amazon had it for thirteen bucks with free supersaver shipping, and I kind of just threw it in there to get my watch shipped.

The small pouch at the front is armored. The build quality of the rest is great. Based on this, I will definately have to pick up a PS2 G-Pak case, as I'm actually more likely to take that or the wii travelling. Though, hey, with this case, I might take this along.

It would be a good case for other things too.

AND, if you are looking for a mini-CD holder, this has two banks of visor sleeve style holders.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have On Your Xbox 360, April 8, 2009

This review is from: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night [Online Game Code] (Software Download)
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for Xbox Live Arcade is a port of the PlayStation 1 game. Castlevania:SOTN is arguably the best Castlevania game in the series and one of the best games on the PS1. I had a lot of fun playing this game right when it came out and at a $10 price point, it's kinda hard to beat. This is the first game in the series to play like the Metriod games on the Nintendo systems or use the "Metriodvania" style but, it has integrated RPG elements into the gameplay. If you are a fan of classic 2D games then you will love this game or if you loved this game back on the PS1, it's still worth getting.

So I get this game free with purchase of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow (which is also a pretty good game). People say Lords of Shadow is a great game, but it is NOT a Castlevania game. So to figure out what Castlevania games are all about I give Castlevania: Symphony of the Night a try. AND WOW JUST WOW. This game is simply incredible. After finishing this game (both actual and secret endings) here is what I thoght.

    ***************PROS********************

CASTLE EXPLORATION GAMEPLAY: No spoiler here, but most Castlevania games are about going into Count Dracula's castle and finding and destroying him and in process of doing so, encountering and finding a great number of vicious enemies, some really awesome monsterous bosses and awesome weapons and upgrades. Similar to other Castlevania games, this one also has A HUGE CASTLE where you, the son of dracula, can roam around structure to another doing everything stated above.

    WEAPONS, SECONDARY WEAPONS,... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rare Classic That Still Holds Up, May 25, 2009

This review is from: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night [Online Game Code] (Software Download)
I missed out on Symphony of the Night during its first run. After being a long-time fan of the GBA Castlevania's, I became more and more disappointed in having never played this seminal chapter in the series. However, when XBLA released this classic, I bought it immediately. To my amazement, the game was more than I thought it could be, and is still the best in the Castlevania series to date. If you've enjoyed ANY of the GBA or DS Castlevania games, you owe it to yourself to experience this piece of history, and witness how great 'vania can be.
