This lab book is beautiful. I think that the regular lab books are around 5 dollars at my university but this one is way better than them if you don't need a carbon copy. Everyone really likes the way it looks and I got compliments on it right away. The pages are thick enough so you can make drawings in there and they won't bleed through. I recommend this item for any Chem or Bio class that needs a lab book.

I love beakers, I use them in the kitchen all the time. They are pyrex, have graduations, a marking spot, and are great to have around. I ordered this one specifically to replace the beaker from a bodum 12 oz french press as the Griffin low form 400 Ml beaker was just slightly too wide. This beaker has a perfect ID for the plunger and works well. I replaced the rod with one from a 34 oz press because this beaker is taller, I love the extra capacity. The original lid will fit, albeit loosely. The glass thickness is great and the markings are accurite. It's perfect for me.

The caps seal very well and "snap" into place over the PCR tubes and Plates (The strip caps work interchangeably with the tube strips and the plates). The 8-Strip PCR Tube Caps are also quite easy to take back off without liquid splashing back up causing cross-contamination. These caps have been thoroughly tested and have proven to consistently provide extremely accurate yields.

As an internist I like models to demonstrate what I can't adequately describe. If a picture is worth a thousand words a model is worth at least ten thousand. There's a little light that goes on when a patient understands exactly what I am trying to convey and models that they can manipulate make what is going on in their own bodies much clearer to them. And that means that what ever I suggest as treatment is going to stick better; we both understand what the problem is and the goal of treatment, Anyway this is a good model but it would be even better if it were even MORE flexible to show the effects of scoliosis, kyphosis and disc herniation on nerves emanating from between the neural foramina. As it is it holds position in a normal S shaped spine but being able to manipulate it to show the effects of postural change and disease processes would be helpful. It's a tad too stiff for that but still it's a helpful teaching tool.
